Today starts the two day annual garage sale for Connection Ministries (my church group). We have done this for 4 years now & every bit of the sales goes to our missions fund. Our missions fund not only helps Northwest Mission Bible training center, Pregnancy resource center & 2 missionairies in other countries but it also helps to buy meals for the less fortunate at Thanksgiving & Christmas and it helps with any financial emergencies in our church body.
If you are living in Portland or surrounding areas...the garage sale is on Thursday & Friday from about 9 am to Dusk. We will be located at the corner lot on SE Powell & 141st in Portland.
Pray for the weather to hold & an abundant year!

Edit 8/5/08: the garage sale was a success. We raised almost $2000 for our missions fund & at the end of the sale we were able to donate a few boxes of children's clothes to a children's center. All in all, it was a good day!
