After the Chaos...

The holiday weekend went over without too many problems. It was great to see all the family, but as every year...there was just too much food!

The Friday after Thanksgiving, my mother & I did the marathon shopping deal. I did get a few Christmas gifts as well as stuff for myself!

Saturday we went to the Portland Winter Hawks Teddy Bear Toss. Amazing!! 7,655 teddy bears were thrown on the ice after Darrel May made the teddy bear goal. What an amazing sight...the teddy bears not the goal! :) Today the Winter Hawks will be distributing the bears to KATU’s AM-Northwest Giving Tree, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital and Emanuel Children’s Hospitals.

Sunday was the day of rest...NOT! I spent all day Sunday getting the house ready for Christmas. Every year I ask myself...

"Self, why do you do this? Why do you pull 10 boxes out of the attic, pack up all the knick-knacks in the living room, then put out all the Christmas decorations just to celebrate one day."

My self responded...

"because you love it!!" I have such a smart self. :)

One last bit before I sign off for today...I'll take the Jaguar!
